Richard (Dick) Allen Forehand, 82, of Sachse, Texas went to be with his Lord December 5th, 2016, at home, after a long illness. Dick was born on January 29, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee to Eugene Marshall and Catherine Inez Forehand. Dick married the love of his life Barbara Rae Vander Werff on September 26, 1964 in Pierre, South Dakota.

Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. A member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers from April 1951 until his death. Dick was a very proud recipient of the special longtime member Union’s Gold Card. He was a member of Lake Pointe Church, Firewheel Campus in Garland, TX.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Catherine Inez Forehand, and sister-in-law, Linda, wife of Wayne Forehand.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rae Forehand; children, Vicky and granddaughter, Tiffany Falco; Julie Forehand; Michelle and Dan Gipson; grandchildren, Melanie and Kevin Walker, great-grandchildren, Baylee and Ayden, grandson, Matthew McCullough, Roxanne Lucero, great grandson, Isaiah, grandson, Jeremy and granddaughter, Jo; Michael and Kat Forehand, grandson, Chase Forehand, grandson, Andrew Forehand, great-granddaughters, Alyssa, Carah, Yana; Mark and Misty Forehand, grandchildren, Dylan, Dayton, and Dawson.

Brothers: Wayne Forehand and children, Gene and Jerri Forehand and children.

BOB (brought on board) children, William and Catrina Tobias, grandchildren, Justin and Whitney; Bernard and Angela Nelson, grandchildren, Jordan and Grant; Mike Cockrell.

The family would like to acknowledge his special caregiver, Ekenia “Mama” Gamadze, for her love and dedication to both Dick and Barbara during this difficult time of his illness.
