Regina Elaine Boetger Weber

March 3, 1935 — January 3, 2019

Regina was born in Hugo, Colorado, on March 3, 1935, to parents, William and Orpha Boetger. She grew up and graduated from high school there.
Regina's father died when she was a senior in high school, so she stayed with her mother and young sister at Hugo and took a job with the Department of Agriculture in the ASC Office. She worked there for three years before marrying Leo Weber. In a few months they moved to Herington, Kansas, where Leo hired out with the Rock Island Railroad in the Operating Department. They lived in Herington, where they raised their family of four girls; Margie, Linda, Lori and Amy.

"Jeannie" (Regina) and Leo were members of St. John's Catholic Church in Herington and she served in various capacities as a member. She sang in the church choir, was President of the Catholic School PTA, and taught Wednesday night religious classes for junior high ages. She delivered "Meals on Wheels" in Herington and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Her hobbies were needlework, oil painting and sewing.
In 1987, Jeannie and Leo moved to a Lakeside housing community. While living in Council Grove, they were members of St. Rose Catholic Church. She also served in various capacities at this church. As President of the Altar Society, she oversaw remodeling a house for the parish. She was also on the Funeral Committee and helped serve dinners for parishioners after a family member's funeral.

One year after Leo retired in 1994, they moved to Brighton, Colorado where they lived for 8 years. Then moved to Texas to be nearer to their daughters.

For the next 15 years, she resided in Royce City, Texas where she enjoyed senior bowling and traveling. She was also a member of the Fate Senior Center. In 2018, Jeannie moved to Rockridge Senior Living where she participated in field trips, painting, and other social activities until she received the Lord's call to come home.
