Raymond Earl Pierce of Blue Ridge, TX passed away around 3:30pm, on February 12, 2017 in Farmersville, TX at the age of 88.Ray was born February 17, 1928 in Schleicher, Co., Eldorado, TX to Stephen Earl Pierce and Vida Estep Pierce. He spent his younger years in San Saba, TX before moving to Ft. Worth, TX and graduated from Arlington Heights High School. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a Mechanical Instructor in Biloxi, MS. He served as a police officer for the City of Irving, TX for 10 years. He retired from Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, TX after working as a MTNC Engineer for 20 years. He was an avid woodcraftsman. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, TX and prior member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton, TX for many years.He survived by his wife, Carolyn Stroup Pierce of 21 years, her Daughters, Terri Clements of Blue Ridge, TX, Julie Webster and husband George of Plano, TX, Dana Clements of Blue Ridge, TX.Grandchildren: Jason Pierce of Leonard, TX, Memory Nielson of Henderson, NV, Michael Pierce of NC, Chris Pierce and Sarah of New Boston, TX, Jeffery Pierce of New Boston, TX, David Steffan and Jessica of Little Elm, TX, Michael Steffan and Jessica of Garland, TX, Damon McCullough and Bo of Plano, TX, Eric Sartain and Desirea of Whitewright, TX, Oren Sartain and Meagan of Blue Ridge, TX, Stuart Sartain of Blue Ridge, TX, Connor Craig of Winter Park, FL, Cole Shelton of Blue Ridge, TX, JuliKae Sartain and Anthony Bricker of Blue Ridge, TXDaughters in law: BeLinda Pierce-Roberts and Steve of New Boston, TX, Debbie Pierce of Garland, TX; Niece: Angela Michelle Clark and Darrell of Waco, TX; Sister in law: Pat Pierce of Tallulah, LA; Brothers in law: Paul Mason and Minnie of Ft Worth, TX, Jimmy Mason and Bonnie of Alaska, Chris Stroup and Shirley of Princeton, TX. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, cousin and best buddy, Don Brandon of Waco, TX, and Mother in law, Jean Stroup of Blue Ridge, TX.Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 45 years, Ann Mason Pierce, his children: Douglas Pierce, Larry Pierce and Wayne Pierce; and Brother, Gordon Pierce.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 @ 11: OO am at First Baptist Church, Blue Ridge, TX officiated by Bro. Shawn Bailey. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, TX in his Memory.
