Ray Edward Griffith peacefullywas welcomed home by his Lord Jesus after his valiant fight with cancerin his home with wife, Karen (Beiriger) Griffith, and daughter, Lori Anne Griffith, at his side,onJanuary 31, 2018in McKinney, Texas,at the age of76.



Rayis survived byhis wife, Karen Griffith, of the home; daughter, Lori Anne Griffith, McKinney, Texas; grandson, Tanner Griffith (Skyler), Keller, Texas.He is preceded in death byparents, Edward and Betty Griffith; brother, Russell Griffith; and, sister, Judy Crawford.



Ray Edward Griffithwas born onDecember 28, 1941,inColumbus, Ohiotoparents, Edward and Betty Griffith.In 1959, hegraduated fromNorth High School,Columbus, Ohio. HemarriedKaren Beiriger, his soulmate and life partner in1965. After four years of marriage, the couple welcomed the birth oftheir daughter, Lori Anne. Ray, Karen and Lori moved to Plano, Texas, in 1979. His family remembers him as akind, gentle husband, fatherand grandfather who encouraged them to pursue their goals and donated much of his time to seeing them succeed in faith, family and career.



Raywas an accomplished Software Engineer in the Enterprise Mainframes industry. He was a patientman who lovedcoaching soccer, working on cars with his grandson Tanner and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with family and friends in his spare time. He was passionate about his family, his faith in Jesus Christ and Ohio State football. His family and faith gave him his joy and his strength in life, giving him the strength to fight the pancreatic cancer for almost two years which finally took his life.



A chapel service is scheduled forMonday, February 5, 2018 @ 11:00 A.M., atPecan Grove Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1701 South McDonald St., McKinney, Texas 75069 (972-542-4029). All are welcome to attend and celebrateRay's life. Attendees are encouraged to enter Pecan Grove Cemetery through the North entrance off Industrial Boulevard and come to the chapel on the far West side closest to Highway 5. Charles W.
