Randy was born August 12, 1958 in Pomona, California to parents, Rodney Blaine and Christine (Buford) Akers.
Randy grew up in California and graduated from Gary High School in 1976. He was an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan. Randy loved his pets and he loved to travel the world. He attended Livingway Church. Randy was an executive for Skins Consolidated.
Randy married his wife of 30 years, Debbie (Black) Akers, November 1, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have made Wylie, Texas their home for the past 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, Akers, daughters; Christen Morgan and Morgan (Akers) McQuerry, sons-in-law; Keith Morgan and Elijah McQuerry, grandson, Carson Blaine Morgan, mother, Christine Huntington, brothers. Randy is preceded in death by his father Rodney Akers.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Charles W Smith & Sons Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth St, Sachse, Texas 75048, 972-414-5050. Rev. Ted Blair will officiate the service at Sachse Chapel.
