Rada ImaJean Johnson passed away peacefully and joyfully in her sleep on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Baylor Hospital of Dallas. While preparing for discharge home with hospice, she went home to Heaven instead at 1 a.m. She had a wonderful day on Tuesday, August 6th surrounded by many family with much love, laughter and silliness –which was just her style.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents James C. and Rada Glass Morgan, daughter Peggy LaJuan Elliott, son James Charles Bodin, a brother, half brother, a sister, and countless family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Patsy Linebarger and husband Rick, daughter Rose Baldree, 11 grand children, 29 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren, her sister and 3 half sisters, much family and many friends, especially those at Lakeland Hills Senior Living apartments.
Jean retired from Travelers Insurance at age 65 and worked with her daughter, Rose, at her restaurant, Catfish Cove, until she was 90, and her health slowed her down. She was known for loving others and being lovable, for hugging and kissing abundantly, for fun, laughter, and silliness.
She loved her family but she loved Jesus the best.
