Phyllis Dianne Ferris Lee, 66, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 surrounded by her family in her Rockwall home. Dianne was the second of six daughters, born to Donald Llyod and Betty Sue Ferris on November 29, 1951 in Terrell, Texas.

From a very early age Dianne always had a love for painting and art, which remained a passion throughout her life. She earned many art awards for her paintings beginning in grade school and continuing through her high school years. During her childhood and most of her adult life, she continued to excel academically and artistically. She enjoyed playing softball and basketball during her early teenage years.

Dianne graduated from Garland High School in 1970 and continued to college. She spent many years working at Micropac in Garland, Texas, in the field of industrial electronic assembly, primarily in the areas of training and safety. She remained in that field throughout her life. She worked for Telect for the last 10 years and retired when their DFW facility relocated to Washington.

Dianne spent part of her free time teaching English as a second language and going to the theatre. She was a friend to everyone who knew her. She was long known for her positive outlook on life and her sense of humor. Dianne was very strong, caring, and giving person that would always find a way to lift others up, even when it was her that truly needed to be lifted. Dianne was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Bella, and cats, Tigger and Maggie. Family was always first to Dianne, the most important things in her life being her children, grandchildren, and family.

Dianne will be missed dearly by her family: her daughter, Donnielle Sue Brackenridge, and son-in-law, Mark, of Rockwall, Texas; her grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Trinity, and Tyler Clark; her sisters, Donna Ferris of Mesquite, Texas, Chelle Ferris Bell of New Kent, Virginia, Patti Ferris Marshall and husband, Steven, of Iowa Park, Texas, Bunni Ferris Mayfield of Rockwall, Texas, and Jennifer Ferris and husband, Jason Alexander, of Wylie, Texas; along with many nephews and nieces who will always keep her in their hearts as she had always kept them in hers.

Dianne is preceded in death by her youngest child and beloved son, Terrance (Gibb) Michael Gibson, and her parents, Donald and Betty Ferris.

The family ask that everyone join them to celebrate this amazing woman on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home locate at 2925 Fifth Street in Sachse, Texas. The family will then receive those in attendance to Dianne and her daughter's Rockwall home to share stories and pictures with them.
