Philip Malcolm Geer

Philip Malcolm Geer was born Nov 2, 1921. He departed Jan 21, 2013. He was the last surviving son of Louis and Abigail Geer. He had 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Philip married the girl of his dreams, Marjorie Grace Lawrence, Feb 22, 1945. Their love was the essence and source of their relationship, and the foundation for family life. Marjorie passed away Oct 31, 2001.

Philip's approach to life was always simple and direct. He relied on his intuition and trusted his heart. He always spoke with honesty and sincerity. Philip's greatest joy and treasure was his family, always caring for them as his most important priority.

Philip served in the Army Air Force from Dec 1939 to June 1945. His working life was highlighted by his many years of dedicated service as an engineer and supervisor at General Electric. His hobbies included gardening, astronomy, coin collecting and hummingbirds. He was also committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Philip enjoyed spending time with his favorite of the family dogs, Abbie.

Philip is survived by his daughter Laurie Elizabeth and her husband, Gary Springer, and their 3 children Matt, Drew and Sara, and his son David Matthew Geer and his wife, Maria, and their 2 children Tara and Micah.
