Age 65, passed on to be with his son Jesse and father Pedro. He was born in Lubbock, TX on January 8th, 1950 to Pedro and Ofilia Martinez. He is survived by his mother Ofilia Martinez, son John Martinez and wife Patti, grandchildren Taylor, Izabella and John, great-grandchildren Sophia and Lucas, siblings Frances and Augustine Saldivar, Irene and Robert Molinar, Fred and Gloria Martinez, Robert and Tammy Martinez, Armando and Crystal Martinez, Melinda and Bud Kick, Daniel and Tina Martinez. He served his country proudly as a Hospital Corpsman Third Class in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He also worked as a Welder/Fabricator for the last 40 years and retired from the Applied Energy Company.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:30 pm Thursday during the visitation from 6-8 pm at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral home in Sachse, TX. The celebration of mass will be at 10 am Friday, August 21, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church 2925 5th Street, Wylie, TX 75098. Interment will follow at Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, TX.
