Pauline Blanke

February 10, 1922 — July 27, 2018

Pauline Blanke passed away on July 27, 2018 peacefully in the presence of her daughter, Linda Eitel.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, August 6th at Charles Smith and Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas. Viewing will be at 10:00am with the Service to follow at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be Don Frady, Jay Maxwell, Nick Pischulla, Bailey Rollins, Greg Rollins and Eddie Shafer.

Pauline was born February 10, 1922 in Bridgeport, Texas to Isaac James Wright and Ollie Lee Welch Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Bernice Pruett and Inez Frady.

Pauline, known by close friends and family as Polly, left home at 18 years old with $19 in her pocket, and she moved into a boarding house and got her first job at a sewing factory.

In 1958, she began working for State Farm Insurance Regional Office in Dallas, Texas. She worked at State Farm until retirement in 1983.

She then moved to Walnut Creek Resort on Lake Texoma were she was known as "Mayor of the Hill." She loved Black Bass and Crappie fishing, White Wing Dove and Quail Hunting. In the evening, people would gather at her deck to catch up on the day's events.

Polly was spunky and fun, she loved people and had a special bond with her grandsons, Eddie and Greg. She loved to travel with her friends and her daughter, Linda. Polly was an avid Cowboy football fan, no one was allowed to talk when the game was on the TV. She loved to laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. We are so thankful that she loved Jesus and will spend eternity with Him.

Survived by her daughter Linda Eitel, grandsons Eddie Shafer and wife Fran, Greg Rollins and wife Ginger, great grandchildren Megan Maxwell and husband Jay, Cami Shafer, Karley Shafer, Bailey Rollins and several nieces and nephews.
