Paula Jeanne Johnson

November 4, 1949 — January 3, 2019

Paula Jeanne Johnson passed peacefully at 9:46 PM on January 3, 2019 at City Hospital White Rock in Dallas, Texas. Paula Jeanne Johnson, daughter of Allie Vee and William Paul Johnson was born in Dallas, Texas November 4, 1949. She had been an artist since she was a young child. Paula would always be drawing and sometimes writing little 'books' or songs. Her talent was recognized by her first grade teacher, who insisted that she attend art school. Paula also had a great sense of humor.

After graduating from Bryan Adams High School, Paula attended Eastfield where she was interested in computers and wrote a program called electric pencil on her commodore 64 as well as many other programs. She traveled across Europe to see some of the great artistic creations. She visited the Prado, the Rijks museum, and even the Louvre. In Italy, Paula saw works by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. She mainly studied oil painting at that time, but was well versed in many mediums, including clay, colored pencil, and acrylic paint. She specialized in the abstract and surreal but had made an impression in realism. Paula's art was admired by many on the internet and, now has a following on Artist2artist.com. She has many friends from all over the world because of her art interests.

As much as art was a part of her life, she also loved music. The first concert she attended was The Beatles, and she attended many other concerts during her life. Paula played the guitar and the piano and the occasional bongo drum.

Paula is survived by her sisters Sharon Johnson, Joyce Arthur, and Janet Cassidy, brother-in-law John Cassidy, Nieces Lisa Aguilera and Jennifer Arthur, great Nieces Chloe Arthur and Rachel Arthur, Uncle Tom Johnson, and many, many cousins.
