Helen Patsy Samford, age 89, passed away March 20, 2015 in Wylie, Texas. She was born January 8, 1926 in Thackerville, Oklahoma to Frank and Hattie Garrison Cobb.
Patsy worked for E-Systems for twenty-seven years. She was a member of the E-Systems Women's and Retirement clubs. She loved traveling and spending time with her family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers B. Samford; her parents; two brothers, Melvin and Theo; and three sisters, Juanita, Maureen and Orea.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Gresham and her husband, JD; granddaughter, Jillian Powell and her husband, Justin; grandson, Jarrett Gresham and his wife, Holly; great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Powell; sister, Gale Delashaw; her loving caretaker, Harriett Williams; and numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, (800) 805-5856, www.stjude.org or Rotary's PolioPlus Initiative www.endpolio.org.
