Patricia H. Zilliox

Zilliox, H. Patricia Chapman; 'Pat' Zilliox, a resident of Dallas, Texas, was born on July 16th, 1925 in Buffalo, New York, and rejoined her husband in life everlasting on January 10th, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen (Lehmann) Chapman and her loving husband William Albert Zilliox. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Peter Zilliox, Peter’s wife Catherine Edwards Zilliox, granddaughter, Diane Zilliox Bennett, Diane’s husband, Jay Bennett, grandson, William Peter Zilliox, and William’s wife, Jennifer Lee Zilliox.

Pat held two master's degrees, Counseling and Education, after attending Skidmore and Marywood Colleges in New York State. Pat worked for schools in North Tonawanda NY, Tunkhannock, PA, and West Hartford, CT. Beginning her long career as a sixth grade teacher, she retired as the Senior Guidance Counselor at West Hartford, CT High School. Pat was an adventurous soul who lived with gusto - a private pilot, solo sea sailor, skier, and avid traveler. Together with her husband, she visited Thailand, Venezuela, and Turkey, explored the Serengeti Plains, and skied the Alps. In addition, Pat gave much of her time to volunteering in the community.

Pat will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Forth Worth National Cemetery next to her husband. Eastgate Funeral Home, in Garland, Texas, is making the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
