McKinney, TX

Patricia Sue Young was 91 years old when she passed away November 25, 2023, in McKinney, TX, after spending the last week with her grandchildren.

Born March 6th, 1932, in Denison, Texas, Patti married Charles Buford Bishop Young immediately after graduating college. He was in the Navy & that brought them to California, where they had two children and later divorced.

In Long Beach, California, she found the love of her life, Gene Beck, while selling and buying gold coins. A florist at the time, she later merged her business and helped run world-renowned Beck's Antiques. They even hosted the King of Tonga. Together, they enjoyed a rich life until he passed.

Afterward, Patti came back to her roots in McKinney, TX. For 20 years, she ran Towne Lake Consessions, renting out paddle boats & selling duck food where she was well known & loved. Volunteering with the McKinney City Police, she enjoyed being a part of her community. She retired at 86 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rex & Margaret Kindle, her children Deborah (Alexa) Gatscher & Stephen Young Sr. and her grandchild Mikael Bailey.

She is survived by her six grandchildren, Misha Adams, Margaret R. Young, Cassie Landin, Stephen Young Jr., Ariel Young, Kayln Young, and three great grandchildren Kian Adams, Jack Landin & Sandler Young.

Patti was beloved by those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was a strong woman, a rock, the foundation to her family. She is dearly missed and forever loved, living on through us in caring acts and memories of our times together.
