Patricia Darlene Seymour

Patricia Darlene Seymour, age 78 of Princeton, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2017 in Farmersville, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas to Leon and Hazel (Wiltse) Dunbar. Patricia married John W. “Misho” Seymour, and they were married for over forty years before he preceded her in death in 2009. She worked for many years as an LVN and DON for many long-term care facilities in the Collin County area, and she was a member of the Baptist faith.

Patricia was a huge fan of Elvis, The Wizard of Oz, and Beanie Babies. She had a collection of Beanie Babies and Elvis memorabilia that was unrivaled, and she enjoyed sharing these interests with her family and friends. Patricia was also an amazing cook, and she could make a stew and Indian bread that would knock your socks off!

Patricia was a lover of animals, and not just dogs and cats. She has been known to have a flying squirrel, lizards, and even a raccoon as pets. No one ever felt unloved when they were with Patricia, and she made certain to spoil everyone at Christmas, as this was her favorite time of year. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her, and she never missed an opportunity to let them know how much she cared for them.

Patricia is survived by four sons, James Kilpatrick, John R. Seymour and wife, Molly, Tom Seymour, and Steve Seymour; one daughter, Tam Roden; granddaughter, Kirsten Altemus; grandsons, Jonathan Seymour and Dathan Seymour, and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dave Dunbar and Jim Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Hazel Dunbar; husband, John “Misho” Seymour; two brothers, Ernie Dunbar and Rick Dunbar; and one sister, Phyllis Avery.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Chapel, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, TX 75069 with Dana Pendland-Jones officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, 200 Wilson Lane, Lowry Crossing, TX 75069.
