Patricia was born in Maud, OK to George and Joan Johnson. She became a big sister to Donald and Marilyn moving from town to town during the Texas wildcat years. She graduated from Midland High School and attended Mary Hardin in Abilene, TX. Pat married Wayne Roberts and her first child Mike Roberts came into her life. Being simply too young, they divorced. In 1955 Pat married Thomas H. Fleeger. A year later, their only son together was born – Ted B. Fleeger. All seemed well until 1961. Jan Fleeger, her mother-in-law, passed away, divorce proceedings began, and on Christmas Day Pat's Father had a fatal stroke flying in from New Mexico. She worked wherever a job came up always finding a way to get by. As Ted made childhood friends, Pat just took all of them in as her boys too! While Pat had so many friends, she also became friends with the moms of Ted's best friends. Mostly alone, she sought out her siblings Don and Marilyn for wisdom and guidance. Always proud of them, but never jealous, Pat clung to family.
In 1999 in a "Made for TV" type fairy tale, Thomas and Patricia remarried on September 25, 1999. Pat helped Tom through heart surgery, and they both had the best time of their lives until Tom passed away in 2009. Both of them truly loved their first grandson Daniel. Both Tom and Pat's love and support for the vulnerable is their legacy together.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Fleeger. Brother Donald Wayne Johnson, Sister Marilyn and her husband Walter Broyles, and her precious and dear first son Mike Roberts. Also preceding her were best friends Lorene Moon, Sally Borino, Dorothy Little, Ruth Levine, and her "other boy" Pat Bernet.
She is survived by her son Ted Fleeger (and wife Luba), sister in laws Mary Blanton and Mary Johnson, and so many precious and dear nieces and nephews. Patricia is also survived by her only girl Jill (James) Leber, and stepchildren Matt Fleeger and Marla Barina. Of course she treasured her grandkids Glenn Roberts, Maci Roberts, Edward Leber, Daniel Fleeger, Dalton Fleeger and great grands Isak and Hanna Roberts. Finally, her lifelong boys Larry Levine, Tony Borino, John Little, Daron Clark, Charles Rooks, Joe and Bob Bernet. Special love to the Miller Family, the Cohea family, Suzie Powell, Dr. Saleem Akbar and everyone's favorite Chuck Armstrong. Pat touched and was touched by so many!
