Oretha Davis 93, of Princeton, Texas passed away on February 8, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. Mrs Davis was born January 26, 1921 in McKinney, Texas to parents James Gray and Nancy Elizabeth Lowry. She graduated from McKinney High School in 1939. She spent much of her career as a Secretary to the superintendent of the Princeton School District.

She is survived by her daughters, Marian Gaynell Niell and her husband Thomas Edward Niell and Rita Shirleen Wilson and her husband James Ray Wilson; grandchildren, Christopher Chase Niell, Jeffrey Wade Niell, Karen Lea McGrath and Stephanie Rae McGehee; sister-n-law, Wilda Fay McNeil; brother- in-law, Henry Housewright; great grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew Niell, Christine Emily Niell, Christopher Austin Lambert, Alexa Bryton Caldwell, Collin James Caldwell, Maddie McGrath, Davis Edwin McGehee; great great granddaughter, Ava Lambert and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gray and Nancy Elizabeth Lowry; husband, Otis Clifford Davis; sisters, Jim Frances Craver, Ethel Teen Jones, Vermell Bayne Warren, and Beulah Jean Housewright; and her brother, Marvin G. Lowry.

A visitation for Mrs. Davis will be held on Monday February 10, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located at 601 S. Tennessee St. in McKinney, Texas. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday February 11, at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Princeton located at 1306 N. 6th Street in Princeton, Texas with burial following at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Brother Bruce Boys will be officiating.
