Nellwyn Cannon

January 29, 1958 — March 10, 2019

Nellwyn Rose Cannon, 61, of Wylie, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2019, surrounded by the love her life, her son
and daughter, and three sisters.

Nellwyn is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Johnny Cannon; their children Jarrod Cannon of Plano, TX, and Tiffany Hay of Roanoke, TX; grandchildren Joshua Cannon and Jordan Hay; sisters Wandine Smith of Haltom City, TX, Mary Alice Brawner and husband Danny Brawner of Crowley, TX; Lou Ann Dunnam of Fort Worth, TX; brother Gary and wife Marty Dunnam or Grove, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milford & Dorothy Dunnam, and her infant daughter, Jessica.

Nellwyn was born on January 29, 1958 in Fort Worth, TX to Milford & Dorothy Dunnam. At 12 years old she was saved, and lived her life following Christ and ministering to all she met. In 1976, she graduated from Everman High School. She met her love in 1991 and married just three months later. She was a member of Murphy Road Baptist church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Nellwyn loved all of her family dearly. She adored her husband. She cherished the time she spent with her children. She loved being Grammy to grandchildren. She was very close to her sisters and spent time with them every chance she had. Because of her loving heart and nurturing spirit, Nellwyn touched the life of all who knew her, and was loved by so many friends and family.

Viewing will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 6-8
pm at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home
in Wylie, TX. Funeral will be Thursday, March
14, 2019 at 10 am at Murphy Road Baptist
Church in Murphy, TX. She will be buried at
DFW National Cemetery on March 19.
