Naomi Ruth Robinson

Naomi Ruth Robinson age 95 was born August 11,1928 in Sachse, Texas in the home of William Sachse her great-great grandfather. She entered her eternal rest peacefully in her home in Sachse on November 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Gladys Bailey, her husband Gerald Robinson of 51½ years, her granddaughter Gina Estes, Grandson Chris Westbrook, and great-grandson Cody Spinks, also her sisters Nada Davis, Jerry Graham, Freda Herring, and Nelda Crawford.

Ruth is survived by her children Gary Robinson, JoAnn (Tom) Westbrook, Brenda (Alan) Gidney, and Linda (Ken) Spradley. She is also survived by her sister Hazel Gregory, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Ruth retired from Texas Instruments after 24 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Sachse, a member of the Sachse Senior Center, and a member of the Sachse Historic Society. She also served on the Sachse Cemetery Board, volunteered for the Sachse Chamber of Commerce, and was a volunteer at Luna Elementary School reading with children and helping with other activities. She graduated from Garland High School in 1945.

Her name is Naomi Ruth Robinson. She answered to Ruth, Ruthie, HooHoo (thank you Michael), Mama, and Mammaw, and also by “Pete” a nickname her daddy called her all of her life. “And the Lord called her good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of the Lord.”

Visitation: Tuesday, December 5th from 6:00-8:00pm at Charles Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse.
