Nannie Sue Sterling, Age 84, of Garland, passed away peacefully from natural causes on July 13, 2013 at the nursing home where she has lived for the past four years.
She was born on May 23, 1929 to Clarence and Louise Gleason in Dallas, Texas. She and her husband, Boise Edgar Sterling, who passed away on November 14, 2009, enjoyed a long life together. They also greatly enjoyed buying and selling Dr. Pepper and Coca Cola memorabilia for most of their life.
Sue was past President of the Dr. Pepper Club where she and Boise made many friends. Their hobby and enjoyment was going to the memorabilia trade shows, displaying and selling their items. Sue eventually sold all of their collection and moved to the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Garland, Texas. Boise and Sue never had children but had many dear friends.
Sue is survived by several nieces and nephews. Sue's family has asked that memorials be made to the Dr. Pepper Club in honor of Sue Sterling. A grave side service will be conducted at 1:15 PM Thursday, 7/18/2013 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
