Nancy Ward

On October 25, 2019 at 2:11 am the most wonderful person in the world, Nancy Ward, passed away from complications with COPD. She passed peacefully while surround with love and family, and went to be with our Lord. She was 80 years old. She and our dad, Jack Ward, would have been married 60 years in just a few weeks. She was Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Nana, Great Nana, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend to so many people, and the outpouring of love has been amazing!

Nancy R. Ward was born August 16, 1939 to Mary and Lester Bushey in Black Brook, NY. She graduated high school in 1956 and joined the Air Force in October 1957 . She served in Biloxi . MS where she met Jack Ward.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; John, James and Halsey Bushey and her sisters Ellie Rule and Mary Jane Haywood.

Nancy is survived by her husband Jack Ward, her sons Tom Ward and his wife Cindy of Sterling, VA., and Barry Ward of Carrolton, Tx as well as her daughter, Jacki Casler and her husband Bob of Farmersville , Tx. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

We will have a memorial on November 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Charles W Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2343 Lake Rd, Lavon Tx 75166 with a reception there to follow.
