Internment Service will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Lakeview Cemetery, 2343 Lake Rd, Lavon, TX 75166, at 4:00 P.M., officiated by Dr. Paige Patterson.

Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Bill, Daughter Loree Sword, Son Andrew (Jessica) Sword, and Son Aaron (Shannon) Sword. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Nora, Kinslee, Stevee Kay, Barrett, Keegan, Liam, and Bennett; Nephew Jeremiah (Jamie) Crawford; and great-nephews Ethan and Cole.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Harry Boult, mother, Nina Boult, and sister, Kay Crawford.

Nancy was born to Harry and Nina Boult on March 2, 1955, in Garland, TX. After living for a short while in Garland and then San Angelo, at the age of 4, Nancy, her mother, and sister moved to Farmersville, TX, where she was reared by her Godly mother and helped along immensely by her PaPa and Big Mama and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Nancy played French horn, was an honor student, and was a proud graduate of Farmersville High School in 1973. Shortly thereafter, she became employed at the First National Bank in Farmersville. She met Bill in May 1975; on June 12, 1976, they married in Farmersville. Realizing she was marrying a Baptist preacher/pastor/evangelist, she settled in as an incredible wife and worked alongside Bill in various ministries for their entire married life.  While her primary joy was serving the Lord with Bill, she was also a gifted secretary & office manager.  Perhaps her finest achievement in ministry was serving with Bill as Awana Commanders at Arapaho Road Baptist Church in Garland, TX, for 28 years. Nancy was credited with being "the brains behind the scenes," making that significant ministry function smoothly and efficiently. About 6,500 children and students were enrolled during those 28 years... with MANY coming to know Jesus as their Lord & Savior. She would quickly point to this fact: That ministry was successful and brought glory to the Lord because of hundreds of lay adults who worked as Directors, Leaders, Secretaries, and Shepherds.

Nancy deeply loved people, especially those who were struggling in life. She was the visionary who challenged and inspired the Arapaho Road Awana ministry to begin an annual Thanksgiving food drive. She was not content with supplying just a Thanksgiving meal but giving these struggling families a week’s worth of groceries. The ARBC Awana family responded to her leadership - bringing thousands of dollars of food each year for many years, helping 30-35 families annually!!

Nancy continued her service to the Lord by joining Bill and others in ministry as charter members of Lake City Church in Lavon, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give generously to a local church food bank or the American Heart Association.
