Nancy Cox

Nancy Ann Cox was born July 24, 1940 in Hillsboro, Texas. The daughter of Aubrey Lee Farrell and Lorine Kirk Farrell. Nancy had 2 older brothers, Jack and Leighton Farrell. She grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School.

She attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas where she met the love of her life, Harvey Edward Cox, Jr. They married on April 3, 1959. Harvey was in the Army and was stationed in West Berlin, Germany. After they were married, Nancy moved to West Berlin where they lived for the next 4 years. Nancy worked for Military Intelligence and Harvey was in Special Forces. They were blessed with 3 children, who were all born while stationed in Germany. Angela, Gregg and Clayton. After Harvey's tour of service was finished, they moved back to Texas where they raised their family in the city of Fort Worth until 1971.

In 1971 Nancy and Harvey moved their family to Dallas, Texas. A few years after moving to Dallas, Nancy and Harvey started their own business and worked side by side for the next 40 plus years until Harvey's death in February of 2015. Nancy retired at the age of 77 in May 2018.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Lorine Farrell, brothers Jack and Leighton Farrell and her husband, Harvey Edward Cox, Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-laws; Jane Westerman and Julie Yarbrough; her children; daughter, Angela Farrar and grand daughters, Sydni and Haley Farrar; son, Gregg Cox and wife Phoung; grand daughter Courtney Cox and her three children; grandson Hunter Cox and wife Carolina and their three daughters; son, Clayton Cox and wife Marcela; grandsons Steven and Harley Cox.

Nancy spent her life working and taking care of those who were around her because that's what she loved to do. She loved her family and was very close with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a holiday, birthday or life event that took place in her loved ones lives.

She was the very best Mimi and was very loved throughout her life. She was a wonderful mother and friend and she will be missed each and every day.
