Myrna Lois McLeod

On Wednesday August 14, 2019, Myrna Lois McLeod, loving mother and grandmother to her two children, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild, was called home by our Lord at the age of 79. Myrna was born August 24, 1939, in Gainesville Texas to Evelyn and Everett Jones. Myrna worked for 30 years at Employer's Insurance company of Dallas while raising her two children, daughter Lisa McLeod and son Paul McLeod who survive her. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Billy Grimes, and Marylin Bressler, and also her great grandchild Calvin Bressler. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Everett, and Evelyn; Aunt Cleo, Uncle Choyce, and cousins: Barbara, Maxine, and Martha.



Myrna was known to her family as a beacon of support, and to all as a kind and compassionate soul who touched the hearts of everyone around her. She enjoyed the simple joys of life; her morning coffee, her pets, southern style cooking, mexican cuisine, gardening, and was an avid fan of her more recent years favorite TV shows; Friends, Sienfeld, The Golden Girls, Hercules the Legendary Journeys, StarTrec, Planet Earth & Nature programs but in the past the 1987 Beauty & the Beast TV series, Lois & Clark, Smallville, Moonlighting, Lost in Space, etc... Her greatest joy came from bearing witness to the many accomplishments of her loved ones.



A funeral service will be held on her birthday August 24, 2019 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located at 4323 Lake Rd. Lavon TX 75161 at noon. Thereafter her children will escort her to be laid to rest next to her parents, Everett and Evelyn.
