Myrna Louise Dixon

July 11, 1929 — April 1, 2021

She was born Myrna Louise Prior to Hugh and Melvia Prior of Sylvia, Kansas during 1929 and passed from this life early Thursday morning, April 1, 2021. She was born in the midst of the Great Depression but lived in perhaps one of the most prosperous times this planet has ever seen. And the earth was blessed because of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold Dixon; her parents; her siblings, 4 brothers and 3 sisters; and seven nieces and nephews.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Cathy Dixon; a daughter, Julie Dixon; two grandsons Garrett and Grant Dixon; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
She was a lifelong member of the Lord's Church and lived her life serving God and others. She was a schoolteacher and taught many subjects, primarily Home Economics. She taught in Washington, California, Kansas and Texas. She stayed home to raise her children but continued teaching at church and in the home. She personified the worthy woman described in Proverbs 31 and her children rise up and call her blessed!
