Mitchell Kent Malone was born February 28, 1960 in McKinney, Texas to Marita Estep Malone and Bobby Rex Malone. He passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. He is survived by his parents; brother, Damon Malone; children, Natalie Fae and Troy Lane Malone; grandchildren, Wesley Aaron and Katie Belle Malone; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.Mitch graduated from Prosper High School in 1978. He participated in and excelled at all sports while in school, and he continued to play many of them throughout his life. After graduating high school, Mitch attended the University of North Texas, where he obtained an associate's degree. Mitch resided in McKinney while spending many years in a career with UPS, then he left to pursue his real passion by using his skills such as carpentry and painting to help others. In his work and life, Mitch always put other people before himself. He was selfless and willing to give all he had to take care of his family and friends. His satisfaction came from knowing that he was helping those in need. Everyone knew his great passion for music. Mitch was always glad to play a bluegrass tune! His love for the guitar and bonjo began at age seven, and followed him throughout his life. His jokes and humorous personality would bring out the best in everyone around him, and if you were feeling down, he was always willing to be a shoulder to cry on. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and nephew. Mitch's life is one worthy of celebration, and he will be greatly missed by all of those who were blessed to know and love him.A graveside service will be held on March 30, 2017, 12:00pm CST at Cottage Hill Cemetery 11400 FM 2478, Celina, TX, 75009Flowers may be sent to Charles W.
