Mitchell Dwayne Fulmer, (72), of Bonham, TX, passed away on March 23, 2017 in Bonham, TX.
Memorial services will be held 12:00pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons in McKinney, TX with Ronnie Chilton, formerly of Nobility Baptist Church, officiating.
Mitchell was born in Little Rock, Ark. to James and Mydie (Russell) Fulmer on August 11, 1944. He went to school in Cabot, Arkansas. He married Joanna Chilton on December 31, 1967 in Blue Ridge, TX.
He worked as a Peace Officer for the City of Dallas for many years and for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice until retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967.
Mitchell was an avid fisherman, loved spending time with his family, working on puzzles in his spare time, and loved playing card games.
Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Mitchell is survived by his (wife) Joanna Fulmer; (children) Beverly Osborne, Jeffery Fulmer and Janet Roberts; (sister) Martha Fulmer; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
