Milton Louis Sifford, born March 3, 1941, in San Antonio, Tx. He passed away after a long illness on April 15, 2013.
He is predeased by wife Barbara Sifford. He is survived by daughter, Lisa Sifford, Oregon, son Tom Sifford, Washington. Stepson, Larry Smith Jr and partner Stacy Rojas, Garland, Tx. Stepdaughter, Pamela Funderburk and husband Danny Funderburk, Mesquite, Tx. Grandchildren, Ashslee Koskela, Jennifer Orlove and spouse Sam Orlove, Zack Koskela, Shayla Smith, Joshua Smith, Daniel Funderburk and Austin Funderburk, also great- grand children Jacob Koskela, Elgin Orlove and Kristy Funderburk. He is preceded in death by two sisters Marilyn Sifford and Evelyn Sifford, TX.
He retired from US Army in 1979 after 20 years of service. During his service in the Army he was stationed in Korea and Germany and was involved with the Vietnam campaign.
Milton retired from Texas Instruments in 1999 after 20 years. He was an avid rock hunter and collector, he was a member of Dallas Gem and Mineral Society. He loved comic books and Science Fiction.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland TX. Viewing will be April 17, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The services will be Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a military service at the DFW National Cemetery, Tuesday, April 23 at 10:15 a.m.
Milton was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
