Miguel Arcangel Perez

Miguel Arcangel Pérez Bauzá died on April 19, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Miguel was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, son of the late Jose M. Pérez Hernández and Josefa Bauzá Rolón. Miguel was an avid athlete in high school where he held the record for short distance track and long jump. His favorite sport was baseball (Yankees fan), he also loved cockfights, horse races, and boxing. Miguel was an army veteran and served in the Vietnam war. After his discharge, he attended the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where he earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting and technology. Miguel worked in management at Baxter Pharmaceuticals of Carolina, Puerto Rico and Abbott Pharmaceuticals in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

Miguel and his wife, Milagros, were married on January 6, 1973 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. In 1987, they emigrated to Dallas, Texas with their sons. Miguel continued working in management for Marazzi Tiles until his retirement in 2014.
Miguel was loyal to his family. For many years he took care of his parents. He was a loving son, supportive sibling, dedicated husband and father who was always there for those he loved. His siblings remember him for always being there for each of them.

Miguel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Milagros Pabón de Pérez, four sons, Mickey and Marisol Pérez, Uty and Mónica Pérez, Chelin and Amanda Pérez, and Emilio Pérez; nine grandchildren, Jailene, Jada, Janise, Janell, Mickey Ray, Zavier, Ayanna, Ian, and Liam. Brother; Edgardo Pérez of Florida, Sisters; Victoria Pérez of Florida, and Maria Pérez-Cruz of New York. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents José, Josefa and brothers, José, Eusebio, Agustin, and Rafael Pérez.


Viewing services will take place on Thursday, April 25, visiting hours are from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. at 1410 Old Gate Lane, Dallas, Texas 75218. Burial service will follow at Laurel Land memorial Park, 6300 S.R.I. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
