Michael Rannebarger, a beloved father, avid fisherman, and devoted family man, passed away on November 26, 2024. Born on January 16, 1956, Mike grew up with a love for the outdoors and a knack for bringing people together, whether on the water, the golf course, or around the dinner table.
Mike’s greatest joys in life were his family and the simple pleasures of fishing trips at dawn and serene mornings on the golf course. He approached life with humor, zest, and a deep love for the people around him. He spent the later years enjoying the evenings surrounded by his close friends indulging in friendly poker competitions. We can still hear the excitement of winnings and him belting: “Cash money!” highly enthusiastically.
He is survived by his 4 children, Shane & (Kristi), Brandon & (Danielle), Jessica & (Michael), and Mitchell & (Korrine), 10 beloved grandchildren, Bella, Anna, Grace, Bowen, Elena, Blaise, Michael, Danielle, Alliyah, and William, 3 siblings John, Cathy, and Brad, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, as well as dearest friends Mike (Skipper)and Peggy McWhorter. He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde (Bud) and Carrie Rannebarger.
Mike grew up in Delaware, Ohio and graduated from Olentangy High School. He spent his younger years competing vigorously on the football field. He lived an adventurous small town life which eventually lead him to migrating to the state of Texas in 1979. He spent a majority of his life working with commercial properties to help bring their flooring and carpeting designs to life. Toward his later years he found solace and comfort living amongst his peers at lake Tawakoni in Rains County, Texas.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at Sky Point RV Park (788 Rs County Rd 1540, East Tawakoni, TX 75472)Tuesday December 2, 2024 after the burial (3:30pm). Please join us for an evening at the lake where we will reminisce and remember all the joy and love Michael brought into this world.
He will be deeply missed but lovingly cherished by all who knew him.
