Michael Linnon Morgan passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord on July 5, 2022, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 72. He was born on July 10, 1949, at Scott Air Force Base in Bellville, Illinois to Linnon B. Morgan and Darlene Jean Ballinger Morgan. Michael lived in many places as a child, including Japan, while his father served in the Navy and the Army Air Corps. He ultimately graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas, Texas. He had an Associates in Business Management from Eastfield Community College. He also honorably served our country in the Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Alaska and met and married the love of his life, Barbara Anne Stewart Morgan, whom he built a loving family with. They were married in Ketchikan, Alaska on May 23, 1971. They were married for 51 years. They moved to Washington D.C. and ultimately made Mesquite, Texas their home. Michael was a Field Engineer for RCA/General Electric for 22 years. Michael enjoyed watching sports, bowling, poker, gambling, talking politics, playing Cribbage, and being with family.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Linnon B. Morgan "Pappy", on May 17, 1997 and his mother, Darlene Morgan "Nana" on June 9, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Stewart Morgan (Forney, Texas), one daughter, Kourtnee Purcell and her husband Matthew (Forney, Texas), and one son Seth Morgan (Mesquite, Texas). He leaves behind one grandson, Breyden Matthew Purcell. He also leaves behind 5 fur babies, Hershey, Red, Scruffy, Brother, and Sylvester.
Michael will always be remembered for his kind, generous spirit, his unconditional love for anyone who serves (police, military, fire rescue), his strength through life, his devotion to his family, and most of all, his jokes. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to be in his life.
