Michael David Jennings 54; Beloved husband, father, Poppa and best friend, became our guardian angel and gained his wings in the evening on March 19, 2024.
Mike was born on March 10,1970 to Bill and Darlene Jennings in Cleveland, Ohio. When Mike was six years old his family relocated to Texas. They lived in Richardson for two years before moving to his childhood home in Princeton, Texas. Mike graduated from Princeton High School in 1988. While in high school Mike played trumpet in both the Marching Band and Stage Band for all four years. He also participated in Spanish Club, One-Act Play and Journalism.
After high school Mike met Felicia Annette Newman. They began dating in June of 1989 and were married on March 11, 1994.
Mike worked many different jobs throughout the years but his passion was driving. He got the most fulfillment during his time driving school buses for both Laidlaw and Durham. He made many lifelong friends while at those jobs.
Mike is survived by his wife and soulmate of 30 years, Felicia Annette Jennings. His 5 sons, 3 daughters in love and 2 grandchildren. Jarad Newman, Andrew Jennings and his wife Kenzie, Colby Jennings and Becka Chase and their children Emalyn (Sweet Pea) and William (Chunk), Jonathan Jennings, Nicholas Jennings and his wife Emily. He is also survived by Annabelle Jennings, Uncle Dave and Aunt Sheila Jennings, Aunt Vicki Steinbeiser, numerous cousins and several life long friends.
Mike loved his boys, yet it was tough love. He wanted them to be able to handle anything life had to give them. They all made him so very proud. He was happiest when he was with his boys and his grandbabies. They were his world. He loved his family with his whole heart, body, mind and soul.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother Billy Jennings.
Mike went home to be reunited with his brother and parents while surrounded by family and mountains of love as he made his final journey.
