Michael Chiarelli entered this world on April 15, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY to the parents of Concetta and Louis Chiarelli. He was survived by his wife Cathy, children MaryAnne, Christine and her husband Dallas, Michael and his wife Delia, his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Abbi, and Aubrey, and family, and friends.
Mike, as everyone called him, lived life. He was the middle child of 5, brother Butch and Adam, sister Dorothy, and late brother Salvador.
Mike served his country in the Vietnam War. He was drafted in 1969-1971. During his time as a foot soldier fighting for our country he received many accolades: 101st Airborne, Bronze Star, Sharp Shooter, Marksmen Badge, and he received a Purple Heart. Mike was a Barber by trade for 45 years. His last haircut was given to his wife Cathy in March of this year.
Mike and Cathy met in November 1974 when she had an appointment for a haircut with him; they married July 27, 1975. He knew what an amazing woman Cathy was and was not wasting time. He always called her Cat. Mike had many hobbies and gave life to all he experienced with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golf (though he wasn't good at it), he enjoyed watching game shows, walking the dogs, planting vegetable gardens, playing the lottery, dancing, and was always joking around making everyone around him smile.
Mike was very proud of each of his children and grandchildren and bragged about them always. Mike left our world for the amazing place we know as Heaven on May 13, 2022. His memories live on.
