Melissa Ann Ray

Melissa Ann Ray, or Lissa, Mom, aunt Lissa, Missy, Mar, Sis, or Pedro, of Sunnyvale, TX died in her home, surrounded by her family on December 6, 2017. She was 40 years old.Melissa is survived by her children, daughter Katie Katelyn (Katie) Hope Ray and son Jacob Reed Ray; her parents Billy and Pam West of Sunnyvale Tx, her brother Adam and wife Julie west of Lewisville, TX and their 5 kids, Bella, Drew, Levi, Maddie Joy, and baby west due any day; her sister Brooke and husband Tyler butler, of Coppell, Tx and their daughter Kenleigh, and youngest sister Lauren and husband Jonathan Stubbs of Fort Worth, Tx; her grandparents Billy George and wife Jean west, and grandmother Oneta Henderson. Many aunts and uncles, and cousins, and her many family members on the Ray/ Reed side, plus many friends, and co-workers. Melissa was born on September 30, 1977 in Arkadelphia, AR. She attended Ouachita Baptist University, graduating with a degree in Biology in 2000. Melissa worked for some great Ophthalmology Drs, Dr Frank Teed of Arkadelphia Ar, and Dr Pat Sweeney & Associates of Sunnyvale Tx. She was a member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church, and served her church through singing in the choir, nursery/childcare worker, or anywhere she was needed. Melissa loved and served well, and in return, you in this room and the many that couldn’t make it love and have served her.
