Melanie Ann James, 51, of Garland, Texas, passed away on November 2nd at 11:55 am after her battle with Stage 4 colon cancer.

On February 3, 1970, Melanie was born to Don and Joyce James in Elizabeth town, Kentucky. Melanie worked in the Aviation field for just under 20 years. She started at Regal Aviation, then moved to Monarch Air, and ended her career at Hill Air.

In 2019, Melanie met the love of her life, Sandy Lowe. They planned to get married this upcoming Spring. Sandy explains that he did not just love Melanie, but cherished her deeply and every moment, they spent together.

Melanie was predeceased by her grandparents Luke and Dorothy James, Ernest and Betsy Ward, and her beloved father, Donald James. She is survived by her mother, Joyce James, her oldest brother Tim James, her brother David James and sister-in-law Shauna James, and her sister Sherri James. As well as her nieces Katelyn, Kendal, and Kacy James, Tobin, Hollie, and April Rigsby, her nephews Garret and Jackson James, her grandnephews Korbin Johnson, her daughter Emily Rigsby, her pups Sadie and Harley, and many loving friends who became like family.
