Melanie Louise Bauer

Melanie Louise Bauer, age 57 of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2017. She was born on July 12, 1960 in Pasadena, Texas to William Louis and Alene Ellanora (Grimm) Bauer, Jr. Melanie was married to Tobin Kramer, and they had two children together, Tobin Kramer, Jr. and Nikki Kramer. She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. She later married Lindell Cover. Melanie was of the Christian faith.

Melanie spent her days working as a humble and loving bus driver. Your kids were her kids for a little while every day. She was loving, motherly, morally upstanding, patient, yet strict, with a strong faith in God and humanity. Melanie had a strong will and an undeniable zest and excitement for life, which made it possible for her to beat cancer. She loved to talk and would talk your ears off about any topic. Melanie will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but the memories they share will keep her legacy alive.

Melanie is survived by her children, Tobin Kramer, Jr. and Nikki Kramer; and her mother, Alene Bauer. She was preceded in death by her father, William Bauer, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, Texas, with Pastor Charles Houska officiating.
