Maximilian Alexander Dooley, born on March 4, 2000, unexpectedly passed away on October 31, 2024. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Robin Rena Dooley; father, William Derek Dooley; and older brother, Morgan Cole Dooley. He also leaves behind his grandmothers, Anita Slaughter and Zenith Dooley, as well as a loving extended family that includes aunts Rebecca Morton and Lorie Cox, uncles Brian Kelly and Darin Ray Dooley, and numerous loving cousins. Max was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Kenneth Ray Dooley, and his aunt, Dedri Dooley Starkweather.
Max found joy in hiking, canoeing, biking, hunting, and fishing. He was involved in scouting for ten years and proudly achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, participating in numerous high-adventure activities within the program. His passion for sports shone brightly as he lettered in football, powerlifting, and wrestling at Lovejoy High School. Additionally, Max was actively involved in his church and other extracurricular activities that supported his community.
In recent years, Max devoted his time to volunteering at the ASPCA, demonstrating his love for animals and his desire to help others. Known for his unwavering support and kindness, he was the type of friend everyone treasured.
Maximilian's vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, friendship, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. A celebration of his life will be held on November 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Lavon, Texas. Graveside services are planned for 2:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to come together to honor his memory.
