Maurice Harlin McMasters

Rowlett, Texas –Mickey McMasters passed away on November 16, 2017 at his home in Rowlett, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at Northway Christian Church on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The church is located at 7202 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225. Long time pastor and friend,Dr. Douglas Skinner will officiate. There will be a private inurnment, with Military Honors, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.

Mickey was born on March 07, 1934, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Hegraduated from Hillcrest High School, Dallas, and attended Texas A&MUniversity where he was a member of the Corpprior to joiningthe United States Marines when he was only 19 years old and served during the Korean War. After his military service, Mickey spent over 30 years in the Food Productionand Food Management Industry. He enjoyed his retirement years doing what he loved – hunting, fishing, watching sportsand spending time with his family.Mickey lived his life with integrity and honesty and will be missed by his family and friends.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Hand McMasters; daughter, Nancy Coffey and husband Scott of Sachse, TX; son, Trey McMasters and wife Melanie of Keller, TX; daughter, Patricia Hodges and husband Shannon of Bossier City, LA.; grandchildren, Kylie Hodges, Kaitlyn Coffey, Chase Hodges, Connor Coffey, Kara Hodges, Erica McMasters and Evan McMasters and numerous nieces and nephews.
