Mary White

Mary Carolyn Barker White, age 71 of Murphy, Texas, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on Friday, August 19, 2016. Mary was born in Terrell, Texas, on October 22, 1944, to JD Barker, Sr. and his wife, Beaulah.

Mary was a faithful worshiper of Jehovah and spent many years preaching, teaching and spreading the good news of God’s Kingdom as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her career was her family, and she spent her free time working jigsaw puzzles, making ceramics and gardening.

Mary was known for her infectious laugh and loved to make people happy. Cooking was her passion, and she will be remembered by her chocolate chip cookies and many other culinary creations. She was always generous with her time and talents and put others above herself. She was a loving and devoted mother who was the spiritual and emotional rock for her family.

Mary is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger; daughter, Jana Yarbrough and husband, Tim of Frisco, Texas; son, Craig White and wife, Jenni of Murphy, Texas; son, Jeff White and wife, Mary of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Tanner, Caleb, Ashlyn, Connor, Ava, Charlie and Austin. Mary is also survived by her brother, JD Barker, Jr. and his wife, Polly.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, JD and Beaulah, and her granddaughter, Emma.
