Mary McCord

Mary Dunihoo McCord went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.  She was born on February 2, 1934 to Phillip and Fannie (Jacobs) Donihoo of Hopkins County, Texas.  

Mary's life was spend on a farm helping her Dad with peaches and other fruits and vegetables.  She graduated from Cumby High School.  She moved to Dallas after that and took a job with Sears where she stayed until she married Billy Ray McCord in Commerce, Texas in 1953.  Mary retired from Byer-Rolnick Hats after 14 years and then worked almost 30 years with Eckerd Drugs in their computer systems. 

She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Garland, Texas for many years and helped when she could.  

Mary is preceeded in death by her husband, daddy, mother and one sister.  She is survived by her son Kenneth McCord and wife Sandra, and one granddaughter Kendra McCord and Nick.  

She was a caregiver to her family.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
