Mary Belle Elliott
Mary Belle Elliott also fondly called Babe, was born April 11th, 1926 in McKinney TX to Sam Houston Elliot and Sally Belle Elliot. Mary Belle went to be with the Lord and Angels June 4th 2021. She was proceeded in death by her husband of over 20 years Clark Allen Findley and most recent late husband of over 3 years Dale Mcllroy, both her loves in which she met while attending TCU in Fort Worth, TX.
Mary Belle's name truly represented her because she was a Southern Belle. A "True Lady" is what anybody who ever met her would call her. She was filled with grace, a sense of humor and impeccable style. One of her favorite things to do in life was travel which she did extensively with her late mother and is probably in London now watching a show.
Mary Belle had a gracious history in McKinney with her great grandparents and former Judge and Mrs. J.M. Pearson. She also spent several years in Irving, TX on a farm where her mother Sally B Elliot has a school named after her. She was a housewife the majority of her life providing a rich family home and later from 1974 her beloved Highland Park home. Up until her death she always preferred big cities over farms so she could visit the shops. She and her late husband Clark would play Bridge often and she loved going to the Dallas Women's Club with her friends. She sang like a songbird and would sing precious lullabies even until her death.
Mary Belle is survived by her devoted children: Son Clark Allen Findley Jr. and daughter Sally Belle Findley Blair along with several grand and great grandchildren.
She lived a long, prosperous life and had a great devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, if you so choose, she would have wanted you to give to your local animal humane society. She did so love her pets.
Our true Southern Belle can and will never be forgotten.
May she rest in Peace and rise to Glory.
