Our Mom was left alone at 22yrs of age with 4 toddlers to find her way through life. Even through all the hardships, she stood proud, had a smile for everyone and made sure we had a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, worked hard and sewed clothes late into the night for us... but most importantly, encouraged us to enjoy our childhood. She danced with us, chased us with a chancla and at night prayed with us for God's Blessings. We grew up with her work ethic, honesty, directness and her sense of humor!
Mom will be missed by her Children, their Spouses, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren:
Bobby Davis of El Paso,
Debra and James Schmulbach of DFW, Ruby Edgar, Amber Edgar, Danielle Martin, and great-grandchildren (Aniya, Portia, Legacy, Ace and Londyn),
Vicky and Glenn Baker of Naples, FL., Ryan and Breanna, and great-grandchildren (Nolan and Nora)
Ronda and Tom Parsons of San Antonio, TX., Tommy Parsons and Alexis Clingman and great- grandchildren (Jocelyn, Kameron, Liam, Kennedy and Penelope).
Mom loved her many Friends and Family and is survived by her sisters Leonor Bustamante, Lourdes and Robert Gutierrez and brother Arthur Van Haselen and Luz Hyde, and her many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews in the US and Mexico. We were a very close family and spent many wonderful Holidays and Birthdays together, sitting around, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
We celebrate Mom, a Devoted Catholic, in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and know she is with our Beloved Grandmother Esther Van Haselen.
