MARY HORTON BEACH
Mary, age 92 was born July 24, 1920 and passed away January 16, 2013 in Mesquite,Tx. She is preceded in death by Walter G. Beach. She is survived by
daughter Donna Hart and her husband Joe Hart, granddaughter Debbie Moulder, great grandchildren Lauren Steinfels and husband Matt, and Nicholas Moulder, great-great granddaughter Breelan Steinfels, sister Jean Allred and three nephews.
Mary Horton Beach was initiated into Templar Chapter #374 July 24, 1963. As she waited to be escorted into the Chapter room , she was entertained in his unique way by Sentinel Brother Robert Coursey. She served in several offices, becoming Worthy Matron in 1973-1974 with Brother T. L. "Duke" Weaver " Past Grand Patron- as her Worthy Patron. She served again as Worthy Matron in 2005-2006 with Brother Walter Beach as her Worthy Patron. She served The Grand Chapter of Texas, with many appointments, one being Grand Marshal for Sister Rennie Ofton and Brother Duke Weaver in 1978-1979. Several Worthy Grand Matron’s appointed her as Grand Representative to West Virginia. She was honored twice with a Special Appointment by the Most Worthy Grand Matron. As owner of The Bridal Circle, many Worthy Grand Matron’s and Most Worthy Grand Matron’s ordered their Grand Chapter and General Grand Chapter dresses from her. She was active in Templar through 2012. She loved Eastern Star and will be missed.
Mary started her career in the 1950's opening her first shop called The Bridal Circle in downtown Dallas. In the early years she attended her weddings to make sure she got her brides down the aisle in style and with attention to detail. She eventually owned three shops and was very respected for her expertise in the bridal business. She retired in 1996.
Mary will be missed by her family and many friends and we are comforted knowing she had such a long and accomplished life. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and it was a fun journey. Love, Donna
