Marsha Kay Cummings

CUMMINGS, Marsha Kay of Richardson, TX passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at the age of 70 after a twenty plus year battle with Cancer.

Marsha was born to parents, Douglas and Winifred Middleton on November 18, 1946 in Meridian, Mississippi. She grew up the older of two Sisters. She married George Robert Cummings, Jr on August 7, 1965. Marsha completed her nursing degree from Nichols University in Thibodaux, LA in May 1976 and practiced nursing until 1983, when she made a career change to Real Estate with Ebby Halliday Realtors.

Marsha is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, George Robert Cummings Jr, three children Greg Cummings and wife Sherry, Shana Cummings Wiessing and husband Mike, Blake Cummings, her mother Winifred Middleton, sister Jann Connell, and five granddaughters who she loved dearly Krystal, Chynna, Carsyn, Jade and Sage.

Marsha’s outgoing, loving, successful, and humorous spirit is likewise extended to an enormous amount of friends close to her. She loved family, traveling, entertaining and supported numerous charities. She is a fun loving; feisty free spirit with a smile that can light up a room, and she always lived life to the fullest. Marsha’s Real Estate career was no different; 34 years, Top Producer consistently year after year, Diamond Circle Winner 34 years in a row, Corporate Top Honor Roll for 25 years in a row, honored by her Colleges of the 190 Office with the 2016 Spirit Award and numerous other awards.

A memorial celebration service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Richardson located at 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080 at 4:00pm. Memorial donations in honor of Marsha Kay Cummings can be made to the Ebby Halliday Charitable Fund, benefitting area community service programs.
