Marrion Lee Pruiett

February 23, 1945 — March 18, 2017

Marrion Lee "Butch" Pruiett, age 72, of Garland, Tx died on March 18th, 2017. Lee passed away doing what he loved in Shelby County Tx, while on his annual spring bass fishing tournament. He was an active member of the Garland Elks Lodge, the GarTex Bass Club and the Mesquite Senior Golf Association.





Lee is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Julie K. (Moyle) Pruiett, along with his two childeren, Angela Kay Lang and Charles Scott Pruiett and spouses, along with eight grandchildren, Madison Kay Pruiett, Kailee Nicole Pruiett, Morgan Lynn Pruiett, Mikayla Laree Mora, Emma Grace Pruiett, Ryland Dustin Mora, Amiya Cynthia Ellis and Elizabeth Joyce Lang.





Lee is preceded in death by his father Marrion Edward "Joe" Pruiett, and his mother Doris Mae (Parker) Pruiett. Lee is also preceded in death by his brother Charles Edward Pruiett. He survived by his brothers, Michael Pruiett, Ronnie Pruiett, Gary Pruiett and Bill Philen; sisters Janice Sproat and Karen Sutherland; uncle Jack Parker and a host of nephews, nieces andcousins.





Lee was the most loving husband and father. He was an avid outdoorsman, always on the lake or golf course. Lee worked as a glazier for most of his life and in doing so, there weren't many buildings in Dallas that he didn't help build. Lee adored his grandchildren, attending every event possible and always cheering the loudest. Lee was a natural born leader, and a great mentor to many. Lee has left a lasting legacy.
