Marquita Ilene McIntire

Marquita Ilene McIntire, age 72 of Nevada, Texas passed away September 3, 2017. She was born at home with her two year old brother asleep in the next room. Her father went to get the doctor but mama was inpatient and made her appearance before the doctor got there. She was a poor country girl but a brilliant one. She loved to read, play games and puzzles, sing, and dance. She was a wife, mother, brownie troop leader and soccer mom. She worked as a waitress and electronics technologist. Her family was her life and she was the center of the family’s life. She made the best beef gravy and meatloaf. She had the best Halloween party our neighborhood had ever seen.

She married Jerry Glyn McIntire on November 5, 1963. They have lived and loved together since then and have rarely spent a night apart. They were the loves of each others lives and were best friends as well. He made the money and she kept it very well. I have never seen a family bookkeeper do a better job.

Marquita had two children, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild and were all the delight of her heart.

She wasn’t perfect but did the best she knew how, and we knew she loved us beyond reason. We will miss and love her all our lives, and mom would expect no less.
