Mark Alan Melton

Mark Alan Melton went to be with the Lord November 30, 2021 after a fight for his life for a heart transplant. Mark was born in Childress,TX on January 5, 1961 to Kenneth and Peggy Melton. He is survived by his loving wife Sherri Melton of 39 years, just four days short of their 40th anniversary, his precious daughter Brittney Roper and husband Chad Roper of Nevada, TX and the love of his life, his granddaughters Mckenzie Roper- Browning and Tyler Roper also of Nevada, TX, his favorite grandsons were Brendon Browning and Jayden O'Neill also of Nevada, TX. He is preceded in death by his son, Ty who he dearly missed, his father Kenneth and mom Peggy, his brothers Keith and Todd Melton and mother-in-law Lou Degan and Grandmother Ruby Campsey.

Mark was one of the strongest men I've ever known. He could do anything that came his way, but his sick heart just would not let him live the life that he deserved.

He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and was so adored by everyone.

He was a hard worker. He worked for Patterson drilling, he was known as the human computer, and could build anything that was shown to him.
His favorite past time was music and football.

He was the love of Sherri's life. They called each other peanut butter and jelly because that's how both of them went together.
When with family, he loved to karaoke. Many hours were spent in his daughter and son in laws shop singing at the top of their lungs.
He will be greatly missed by many.
