Marion was an avid fisherman and spent as much time as possible on the Columbia river fishing for stealhead trout. Dad enjoyed tying fly's and catching fish with his own creations. Dad had many interests including playing the violin. He wasn't content to just play he began to repair broken violins for people which led to hand crafting many violins from scratch. He never sold one of his violins they were given to family to members. He loved going to yard sales and buying broken violins which he repaired and sold.
