Marion Edward Egger

April 28, 1934 — January 29, 2022

Marion Edward Egger was born April 28, 1934 to Ed and Emma Egger in Bigelow, Arkansas. Marion went to work for the railroad after graduating from Bigelow High School. He met the love of his life, Beth Sisler, and married her on April 16, 1954. Marion and Beth lived in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas as he continued his education and became a communication specialist for the railroad. Marion worked with and met many friends on the Rock Island, the Rock, the Cottonbelt, and Southern Pacific Railroads. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed teasing and laughing with family and friends.

After retiring from railroad work, Marion used his friendly personality as a greeter at Wal-Mart, as well as a greeter and deacon in his church. He also enjoyed farming while they lived in El Reno, Oklahoma growing wheat and raising cattle. Marion's family thought he could fix anything from necklace chains to hair dryers to car engines and tractors.

Marion and Beth were married for 64 years and raised three children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beth; his parents; his brother, Luke Egger; his sisters, Reva Egger Burge and Wilma Egger Campbell; and his grandson, Tyler Weaver.

Marion is survived by his daughter, Linda Ridgway of Dallas, Texas, Debora Weaver of Frisco, Texas; son Randy Egger of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Joshua, Bethany, Brittany, Tiffany, Lauren, and Ryan; eight great grandchildren, Brinley, Breelyn, Brenna, Landon, Peyton and Camden, and McKenna and Maylee; and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
