Marilyn S. Zvorak

June 1, 1946 — May 7, 2017

Marilyn Sue Zvorak, beautiful loving wife of Jack Zvorak passed away suddenly after services on May 7 while fellowshipping with brethren at Pathway of Grace Church, Mesquite. Marilyn suffered a heart attack and apparently died instantly.Praise God. Her wonderful spirit will be missed. She would have been 71 on June 1. She was so loved by all who knew her.She had been a member of WCG since 1980 but knew her Lord long before that. She was a believer in her early teens and remained faithful all her days. Marilyn met Jack while he was in the Air Force and they were married 51 wonderful years. Jack and Marilyn began attending WCG in 1977 and having been raised as a Baptist, she struggled with some things but wouldn’t think of attending anywhere without her husband.

The Zvoraks lived in Kansas City, MO until Sept. of 2015 when they moved to Dallas to be closer to their grandchildren. “They need us,” she always said. She loved her Wednesday nights with the grandkids, three children (Chloe, Brett and Grant) of her daughter Denise and Neal Hogberg. Marilyn and her daughter spoke nearly every day and Denise cherished the last 18 months with her parents in Texas.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Her remaining sister Donna DeVolder and husband George live in Kansas City.

Marilyn’s love for the Lord was demonstrated in her service to others and welcoming smile. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and her congregations. Services entrusted to Charles W. Smith & Sons in Sachse, TX.
